Instead of falling victim to any more of these short term weight reduction plans, here is why many of them don’t work and how you can move to a healthy eating plan that will help you achieve and maintain healthy weight loss.
1 – Reinforce Negative Feelings

These days the problem of obesity is very common in the teens. The main reason for this is the extra consumption of fast foods. There are large amount of calories in these products which make the children heavy. Another reason for this heftiness is the habit of watching the television continuously sitting at the same place. These children just become stout without any stamina to perform any activity. Thus there is a great need to inspire such children to do regular exercises and get them engaged in the overweight teen programs and work-outs so as to cope-up the problem as soon as possible.
Question by : I need a diet / exercise plan that people have had good experiences with…?
I don’t want to starve myself on a diet but I want to do one that is balanced enough to work. I don’t eat junk food, drink pop, or eat a ton of processed foods (my diet has been mostly organic when possible for the past several months) which is why I am needing extra help getting this weight off. I’ve been bigger since I was young and I’m done dealing with it. I lost 40 pounds on the atkins a few years ago but I mostly gained it back, so I would like to know if there any diets that actually work out there. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year. I don’t really know a specific way to lose weight through exercise, I don’t mind going to the gym everyday I just want to know what a good plan is to follow while I’m there. Right now I’ve been doing the “weight loss” option on the tredmil (makes your heart rate fluctuate a lot) and it has given me ok results but I would like something with a little more results. Any advice?
Question by jash: What don’t people get about losing weight?
I have seen the food critic Frank Bruni everywhere promoting this book about being fat his whole life and finally getting thin. I don’t know about anyone else, but I think the whole “weight loss miracle story” has been so incredibly overplayed in the media! Now this guy is suddenly an expert at “reading menus” and “staying fit” because he stopped eating donuts and pepperoni pizzas? I mean, I just have to shake my head every time I hear about a new diet craze or a guy who lost 200 pounds because he had some sort of revelation. It’s called taking in fewer calories than you expend through healthy eating and exercise. Now, where’s my book deal?

In the world that we live in there seems to be a growing attitude of wanting something and wanting it now. This applies to so many things from the latest consumer goods all the way to the latest body image. When it comes to body image though, and especially keeping fit and weight loss, quick results are not always a good thing.
Many of the latest fashionable diets promise weight loss but at what price, it is usually the case that someone will more or less starve themselves and see results but then they will put the weight back on and more often than not they will end up heavier than they were before they started!

Do you want to lose weight? Have you been stuck in the same rut when it comes to your body for FAR longer than you care to admit? It’s true…many folks will literally spend their entire adult lives making plans to start a diet some OTHER day, constantly postponing their potential for the next Monday, New Year’s Eve or a special birthday later down the line. This is not ONLY a recipe for a bad approach to physical fitness, it’s also a pretty good predictor that you will never be quite as healthy, happy and successful as you truly desire. I know – I’ve been there.
