<p>Trouble is, that&#8217;s usually where they stop.</p>
<p>Few people tell you how to go about a course of natural weight loss that will be healthy for you and is likely to result in a permanent loss of weight rather than a temporary one.</p>
<p>* Eat naturally. In our modern world, this means forgoing any food that has been highly processed. If the ingredients lists things you wouldn&#8217;t keep in your kitchen (or maybe don&#8217;t even recognize as food) then don&#8217;t eat it.</p>
<p>* Eat little and often. Most modern diets restrict your calories but if you&#8217;re not careful, your body thinks it is being starved and goes into defense mode, storing fat rather than losing it.</p>
<p>* Don&#8217;t deny yourself. If you really must have that apple pie and cream, go for it. With a smaller portion or more left on your plate before you decide you&#8217;ve had enough. The more you limit yourself, the more likely you are to crave that food and the more you&#8217;ll binge on it when you give in to the temptation.</p>
<p>* Drink lots of water. Target yourself for 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. Make some of these a glass about 30 minutes before eating a meal.</p>
<p>* Cut down on the caffeine. Not by switching to decaff &#8211; that has it&#8217;s own issues &#8211; but by substituting with lower or zero caffeine versions.</p>
<p>* Ignore diet drinks. Your body thinks you are drinking that sugar, even if it&#8217;s artificial, and will react accordingly. Besides, artificial sweeteners aren&#8217;t the nicest of substances to put in your body.</p>
<p>* Don&#8217;t obsess about your weight. Think about something else for a change! When you catch yourself thinking about how much you currently weigh, distract your mind and change subjects.</p>
<p>* Change your mind&#8217;s eye view of yourself. Think of yourself as being naturally thin rather than someone who needs a crane to get off the sofa.</p>
<p>* Exercise (yup, that word)! Even walking slightly more often will help &#8211; you don&#8217;t need to turn into a gym rat.
