Question by : Has anyone lost weight just from eating healthier?
I know all about the “Burn 3500 calories” in order to lose 1lb of fat. I also am fully aware of the Metabolic Rate. I want to know if I were to just eat 500 calories less than my BMR would I honestly lose 1lb a week…. becasue that is what this BMR vs Calorie intake and burning 3500 calories for one pound is suggesting… Has anyone just ate 500 calories less than their BMR and lost weight?
I dont want any answers saying you have to excersize because that is not the point of my question.

Acai berries are a relatively newly discovered berry from south america that has some healthy characteristics. The acai berry is high in anti-oxidants and really helps people loose weight quickly. There are lots of health advantages to acai berries, but they must be frozen right after harvest to make sure they retain thier maximum potency. One of the major brands of acai suppleiments is vital acai. Many talk show hosts have done profiles on the health benefits of acai. http://www.americaschoicetoday.com/Acai-Berry.html

Question by Christinachristy: WOMEN: anyone following the book “Lift Like a Man, Look Like A Goddess”?
I am already finishing up my first week on the plan. I have many questions about it though..how many calories should you eat on it? The book says to eat up to 1700 to 2000 cals a day, .. I’m eating around 1500 a day. Also, my body has stopped getting sore after workouts, even when I do more reps so it can burn more at the end. Does not getting sore matter?
I just want to know if any of you have gotten good results from this program. And besides muscle gains, have you also lost fat?
Question by mikayluhxoxo: To anyone who’s tried the weight loss pill “alli”?
Did it work? Please be detailed. Thank you.
Answer by lv_consultant
Alli is nothing but an appetite suppressant, it has absolutely no effect on the metabolism. How much weight you lose while taking it is totally up to you. If you can follow a balanced, reduced calorie diet then you should get results while taking it. If you have a problem with overeating you may see results when taking it but most likely the weight will return if/when you return to your old eating habits.

Question by CariChick: Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?
I have a friend that used to be obese that has lost a ton of weight. He said that when he was still fat, he went to get a physical and the doctor told him he has to “eat fat to burn fat,” meaning, I guess, to eat junk food and then work out. My friend said that he actually tried that. He said that he would go to fast food restaurants, order a bunch of junk food for lunch, then about an hour after he eats, he would go to the gym and work out for a few hours.
I look at him now and he actually looks AMAZING. I mean he has nice abs and everything.
My question is: Has any of you ever heard about this “eat fat to burn fat” thing?
I always thought that in order to lose weight, you had to eat less than you usually eat and that you can’t eat junk food.
Q&A: has anyone tried the weight loss pill “Alli”? If so, was it effective & what were the side effects?
Question by Brendadittohead: has anyone tried the weight loss pill “Alli”? If so, was it effective & what were the side effects?
Answer by Tess
I have never tried it, but I heard it works pretty well as long as you actually eat healthy and exercise.
Now, the reason I never tried it…I heard from MULTIPLE people that one of the side effects was “uncontrollable, watery flatulence”…I’m sorry, but I don’t care how much weight I lose, I will never look good in my jeans if I have fart juice running down the back of them…
